I picked Spain at the outset. I thought Torres would shine but he hasn't. He looked like a lost little schoolboy against Russia. And Villa may miss the final!!!!!!
I've come to love Schweini. The big blonde galoot.
And Ballacks (affectionately known as Mr Pushy Pants around here)
But here's a question. Has anyone at this level ever lost 4 finals in one season?? ??? Ballack was on the losing side in the Carling Cup Final against Spurs.
He lost out to Man Utd on the last day of the Premiership.
He lost in the Champions League Final against Man Utd.Hooh Ha!
Is it possible he can lose in the final AGAIN???????:

Contrary to the established logic of picking well-established teams, I made the mistake of picking the Russians in the last round: because I saw them play so wonderfully against the Dutch. Plus I have come to realize that I like a little power (say it with an Arnold Austrian accent) in my teams. Not every goal should come from eight yards out (ehemn Spain) - give me a rocket and give me the Germans. Podolski and Schweinsteiger will shine.
it's been a fun tournament and i'm tired....
spain will be victorious.
