Germany looked pretty deflated after their loss to Spain, but hopefully they can rebound to beat Forlan and his golden locks. Go Germany!

Help us, Uruguay...you're our only hope.

Logically Cantona should gamble on Uruguay to improve in the standings but Cantona says that as long as Kris Hammond is in goal for the Krauts, then it's going to be no goals for Uruguay.
Muller, however does have a shot at top scorer.
GERMANY !!!!!

Like most of us in these picks, they're playing for honor and not the championship. Diego Forlan has had an amazing cup. Miroslav Klose is going for all-time top scorer. Hoping for lots of goals. After the semis, Germany has more to prove.

DIE MANNSCHAFT

Phil, you should know that I'm a terrible goalie. Worse than "Butterfingers" Green and "Calamity" James combined. But even with me as a keeper, Die Mannschaft will carry the day. I just like typing that. It makes me giggle. Die Mannschaft. Hee hee.

I'm goin on instinct here - GERMANY - but I would not be surprised by a Forlan hat trick - the deadliest of strikers in the tournament.

screw it - im changing to URUGUAY - love that national anthem

Conti - Real Marinita nearly switched to Uruguay at 11:29. That 5-minute operatic anthem is oddly stirring, and Diego Forlan belongs with the greats. La Celeste can be proud.
