Spain. Of course. Let's hope for an entertaining tourney that El Nino is still on fire and they go all the way. Second place will go to .... (another reason why England failed to qualify)... Russia! Forget their first game, they'll get Spanked by Spain, but they won't slip up against Greece, and then when their Star Player, Arshavin, is back from suspension they will mash the Swedes
Spain - The European purveyors of Joga Bonito, we're hoping the Spaniards can finally find national unity above their separate Castillian, Basque, and Catalan identities and convert their pleasing passing patterns into goals.
Russia - While Greece was a sweet Cinderella story last go-round, this time the glass slipper fits on master Dutch tactician Guus Hiddink's foot... plus Zenit St. Petersburg's dazzling performance in the UEFA Cup may portend a Russian renaissance. We like Zlatan and love Henrik Larsson, but the Swedes just don't have the depth to pull off the upset. Would be great to see Larsson score one more glamour goal for old time's sake.
